Today after work I did a little bit of work preparing for my sister’s upcoming baby shower. I took four corks and turned them into card holders for the food items. I will make more as I locate more corks that meet my approval. Here is a pic so you can see what I have done so far. I tend to keep all my corks in the original bottles, so they do have a squished end. Josh will be so sad when I tell him we need to drink more wine so that I can have some unsquished corks to use. Ha ha.
Then I worked with my first printout of the invitations. They turned out great, and with only a few small tweaks they will be amazing and ready to send on time! I am so happy that they turned out so well. I won’t post pictures of them though, because of course that would ruin all surprise for everyone who will be receiving them!
Now it is off to bed so that I can hopefully arise at 4:45 tomorrow morning and make it to my Zumba class. Wish me luck!
My work has decided to have a Biggest Loser competition. With a $10 buy in for each employee who wants to participate and my boss throwing in an extra $100 to support us, the grand prize will be $230. This goes through July.
A group of my friends has also chosen to start a weight loss competition. We will be the big fat losers. We are also going to do a $10 buy in, and then every week at the weigh in there will be a $1 penalty for every pound gained. So we will see what the grand prize will be for that one. This will go through November.
I have been struggling with trying to lose weight for many years now. The past two years I have been slowly gaining ground. I have gone from 225lbs to my current weight of 196lbs. My lowest on the scale over the past few months has been 193lbs. I have also gone from a size 14 to a size 10.
I am going to try and document my struggles and triumphs. It will probably be mainly struggles. Food is one of my major weaknesses. My goal is to like my body, but to give a numerical representation, I am expecting to like my body when I am between 140 and 150lbs or around a size 6. So that is what we are trying to achieve.
I will be working mainly with attempting to stay around 1200 calories per day. I am going to attempt to work out two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday mornings doing one hour of Zumba. I began Zumba in December, but have missed for the last two weeks. I need to get my butt in gear and start actually working toward my goals. I’m going to try and keep this blog as additional incentive for myself. Hopefully if I do enough then some progress will be made. Within a week I hope to get a photo up for the before shot so I can do a comparison at the end.
